Patricia returned to Parlee McLaws in 2013 as a Senior Associate.  Prior to re-joining the firm, Patricia worked with a large Calgary firm where her practice focused in various areas of litigation law, with a primary emphasis on insurance.

Patricia has broad experience in Commercial and General Litigation as counsel for or defence of commercial, construction, tort, estate and contract claims. Patricia’s practice also comprises Insurance and Risk Management, her experience including: construction, property damage and fire loss claims; defence work related to practice areas of life and disability, travel, product liability, personal injury, including motor vehicle, commercial host claims; policy interpretation and coverage opinions. She also has skills and experience in Personal Injury Litigation including fatalities and serious personal injury including brain injury, spinal injury, permanent disabilities and medical malpractice.

Patricia has made appearances in Provincial Court, Court of Queen’s Bench and Provincial Fatality Inquiries. She has experience as counsel in alternative dispute resolution including private mediations and Judicial Dispute Resolutions. Patricia was also Counsel in recent reported decision, Hutton v. General Motors of Canada Limited, 2010 ABQB 606.

Prior to entering the legal world, Patricia worked as a Registered Nurse at the Foothills Medical Centre.
