As a result, all of his education from age eleven to and including his law degree took place in Calgary. Lou was admitted to the Alberta Bar in 1983 and since then, has assisted tens of thousands of clients with their home purchase, refinancing, and sale transactions. As a leading authority on all aspects of real estate law, Lou previously instructed law courses across the province to both Realtors and lawyers and, as well, is a Law Society of Alberta Mentor to junior lawyers in real estate matters. Qualified by the courts as a legal expert in real estate transactions, he has provided numerous expert opinions on litigation matters involving residential real estate lawyers. In addition, Lou moderates a popular “Legal Lou” blog on LinkedIn addressing real estate legal issues.
