For the past eight years, Parlee McLaws has gathered a team of approximately 15 individuals to assist in menu planning, meal preparation, serving and clean-up of an annual evening community meal for 300 people. In addition to volunteer time, the food costs associated with each meal is paid for by Parlee McLaws. The community members we serve are from Edmonton’s inner-city and include pregnant women and infants, the elderly, drug users and individuals suffering from a variety of serious health conditions.

For almost 30 years the Mustard Seed Edmonton has been serving those experiencing poverty and homelessness. Today, hundreds of people rely on the organization for food, clothing, counselling and other support services such as housing assistance and employment coaching.
