As part of Life Sciences Week, the Medtech Innovation Highway Pilot Program has been launched to help early-stage medical device companies overcome barriers and bring innovative healthcare solutions to market faster. The program brings together five partner organizations—Applied Pharmaceutical Innovation (API), the Centre for Advanced Medical Simulation at NAIT, CR Consulting, Red Deer Polytechnic, and Parlee McLaws LLP—to provide coordinated support in key areas of commercialization. Parlee McLaws is proud to contribute intellectual property strategy and guidance, helping innovators protect their ideas and position themselves for long-term success. The pilot will run for six months, through March 2026, engaging a cohort of early stage medtech innovators. At its conclusion, participants will receive a roadmap outlining next steps across business, regulatory, technical, product-market fit, and IP considerations.
