Experience Professional Activities Awards ExperienceJames is an Associate with Parlee McLaws. James maintains a general litigation practice with a focus on defamation law, insurance law, employment law, and commercial litigation. James started his career with Parlee McLaws as a summer student in 2020. Prior to returning to Parlee as an Articling Student, he worked as a summer student at the Alberta Securities Commission in their Enforcement Division. There James gained experience in securities litigation and its complex processes and procedures. James eventually returned to Parlee and completed his articles at the Calgary office in 2023. While in law school, James was involved in a variety of extra-curricular activities that specifically focused on advocacy. James was involved in several advocacy clubs where he gained valuable moot court experience, which he now applies in his practice. Outside of the office, James dedicates his time to the culinary arts, the discipline of kickboxing, and the pursuit of travel experiences.
