Douglas brings more than 25 years of experience in corporate commercial law, with a focus on corporate structuring and international business transactions. He has advised companies at all stages of development, from start-up through international expansion, and has established cross-border structures for corporations across Europe, Asia, the Middle East, the Caribbean, and the United States. Throughout his career, Douglas has built a reputation for thoughtful, principled practice and a commitment to serving both clients and the broader business community. In addition to his practice, Douglas is an Executive Professor at the University of Alberta’s School of Business and Faculty of Law. He is the author of two textbooks on international law and international business transactions and regularly teaches advanced legal writing and contract drafting through continuing legal education programs across Canada.
