Richard’s notable capabilities in corporate and commercial law are well established. He holds a Business degree with a major in accounting, and has completed the Canadian Securities course as well as the CICA in-depth Income Tax course.

Richard’s knowledge in Commercial Real Estate comprises; shopping centre purchase and sales; land assemblies, purchase and sale transactions for retail and industrial lands; free standing and shopping centre anchor tenant leasing; commercial retail tenant leasing; office building leasing; shopping centre integration; municipal development agreements; easements; restrictive covenants; non-disturbance agreements; and lease surrenders and cancellations.

Richard works for clients on a range of corporate law matters that include: incorporation; amalgamation; winding-up; reorganization; restructuring; stock option agreements; shareholder agreements; shareholder disputes; non-competition agreements; confidentiality agreements; and preparing, commenting on and revising a wide variety of miscellaneous corporate agreements.

His commercial law practice areas include: the purchase and sale of entire divisions of companies (assets and shares); banking and finance transactions on borrower’s behalf; international financing transactions on borrower’s behalf; and trust deed financing on borrower’s behalf; employee stock option and share appreciation rights. plans and agreements; and preparing, commenting on and revising a wide variety of miscellaneous commercial agreements.
