Parlee McLaws LLP is once again participating as an intellectual property service provider with ElevateIP Alberta, which has relaunched its program for Alberta startups and small and medium-sized businesses. ElevateIP Alberta provides eligible businesses with funding and access to intellectual property expertise to help them develop and put an IP strategy into practice. The program is delivered by Innovate Calgary on behalf of the University of Calgary. Parlee McLaws is part of the program’s network of IP service providers. Through the program, our Intellectual Property & Innovation team works with eligible businesses on IP strategy and implementation, including patents, trademarks and other intellectual property matters. Applications open this fall The relaunched program includes two application periods: Aug. 31–Sept. 30, 2026 Nov. 2–Dec. 1, 2026 The program has made changes to its funding streams and application process for this intake.
