Experience

Yomi focuses her practice on insurance defence litigation, commercial litigation, labour, and employment matters. She works with corporate clients, insurers, and organizations in highly regulated industries, helping them navigate complex disputes with efficiency.

Earlier in her career, Yomi practised as a litigator in Nigeria before relocating to Canada. She articled in the legal and regulatory department of an independent electric system operator in Calgary and had her articling secondment in an internationally recognized law firm in Calgary, gaining practical experience across civil and commercial litigation, employment law, data privacy, energy, and administrative law.

Clients rely on Yomi for her ability to manage litigation in a way that minimizes risk and disruption to business operations. She is skilled at strategic case analysis, negotiation, and trial advocacy, and consistently develops practical, cost-effective solutions tailored to her clients’ business objectives. Her cross-jurisdictional experience provides her with a unique perspective on complex disputes, allowing her to adapt quickly to new legal frameworks while applying rigorous analytical skills.

Outside the office, Yomi enjoys baking, volunteering, and spending time with family and friends.
