Experience

Samuel joined Parlee McLaws as an associate in 2019 following the completion of his articles with the firm. Samuel’s litigation practice has developed through the opportunities afforded by the firm’s excellence in the practice areas of insurance, insolvency, oil and gas, labour and employment, commercial disputes, and general civil litigation. Samuel has leveraged his involvement as junior counsel on multi-million dollar disputes, into experience and knowledge applicable to the increasingly complex matters under his carriage.  Samuel has appeared on behalf of clients in all levels of Court in Alberta.

Samuel has a BSc Pharm. from the University of Alberta, and practiced as a pharmacist for nine years, across three provinces, before pursuing his career in law. Samuel obtained his JD from the University of Victoria in 2018, and returned to Calgary to commence his articles of clerkship with the Provincial Court of Alberta, under the guidance of the Honorable Judge Anne J. Brown.
