Experience

Randy has been practicing law with Parlee McLaws since 1998 and currently practices in the areas of real estate and financing.

In real estate, Randy has experience in a variety of leasing matters, from shopping center and office leases to telecommunication site agreements. Randy has also routinely been involved in residential and commercial real estate transactions, and has assisted clients through the legal labyrinth of condominium property law.

In the financing area, Randy has been involved in a variety of lending transactions, representing both local and international financial institutions. Randy also has experience acting for both commercial and non-commercial borrowers.

Randy has a strong background in the arts. He has been actively involved in the music community, both playing and engineering/recording music. Randy has also had exposure to the film industry, participating in distribution deals at international film markets. Randy’s background as well as his strong work ethic lends itself well to providing innovative legal solutions on a timely and efficient basis.

At the University of Alberta law school, Randy was an editor on the Alberta Law Review (Constitutional) and a volunteer for Student Legal Services. Prior to that, at the University of Calgary, Randy was a member of the University Debating Society and was an active committee member of the Jewish Students’ Association.
