Nancy joined Parlee McLaws as a litigation associate in 2019 after previously working as a summer student and completing her articles with the firm. Nancy maintains a general litigation practice with a particular focus on employment, insurance and commercial litigation.

Nancy has advocated on behalf of clients before the Alberta Court of Queen’s Bench and the Provincial Court of Alberta (Civil). She has experience in a wide range of litigation matters including employment disputes, human rights complaints, insurance defense, subrogated actions, and contract disputes.

Prior to articling with Parlee McLaws, Nancy obtained her Bachelor of Science with a Double Major in Biological Sciences and Psychology. While in law school, Nancy was a Career Peer Educator at the University of Alberta Career Centre, which involved advising undergraduate and graduate students on different areas of career development. She also served as a caseworker for Student Legal Services and volunteer for the Pro Bono Students Canada Alberta Human Rights Advocacy Project. In her final year, she was a Teaching Fellow at the University of Alberta Peter Lougheed Leadership College.
