Experience

Martika maintains a broad litigation practice. She is focused on delivering pragmatic, efficient solutions and working closely with clients to advance their objectives through responsive counsel and strategic guidance.

Prior to joining Parlee McLaws, Martika articled at a national law firm, where she gained experience across a range of litigation matters. She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Calgary, where she was actively involved in experiential learning and pro bono initiatives. During law school, Martika participated in the Business Venture Clinic and the Low-Income Seniors Wills Clinic with Pro Bono Students Canada, assisting clients with accessible, community-focused legal services.

Before pursuing her legal career, Martika worked as a Senior Immigration Officer with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada. This experience honed her understanding of administrative decision-making and complex regulatory frameworks, which she brings to her litigation practice.

Outside of the office, Martika enjoys thrifting, exploring local coffee shops, reading fantasy and science fiction novels, and playing badminton.
