This hands-on experience provided a deep insight of what matters most to clients including managing risk exposures, finding pragmatic solutions to complex claims, and fostering meaningful relationships. Wills and Estates disputes Complex disputes that involve the validity of Wills, Trusts, legal capacity, conflicts with Power of Attorneys or Personal Representatives can unearth profound emotions beyond family members. Guy approaches these matters with empathy, as he helps clients navigate the intricacies of Estates litigations one step at a time. Administrative law Guy advises clients including administrative tribunals on a variety of legal issues to ensure that they act within their legal authority and that their legal rights embedded in legislation are observed in court proceedings. Guy has trial experience in the Court of King’s Bench of Alberta and in the Alberta Court of Justice. Guy has pursued formal training in Alternative Dispute Resolution. He routinely attends mediations and has appeared at Judicial Dispute Resolutions. Guy aims to resolve disputes by focusing on interests rather than positions. Guy is involved with pro-bono organizations addressing general inquiries from clients arising from contracts and landlord and tenant disputes. Outside work, Guy plays jazz on the drums.
