Experience

Kimberley is Counsel with Parlee McLaws. Her practice focuses on insurance and commercial litigation. She began her career with a leading multi-national firm in Toronto before moving to Calgary, where she built her expertise in both private practice and as in-house counsel for one of Canada’s largest insurers. This breadth of experience gives her a unique perspective on disputes and the ability to anticipate challenges.

Kimberley is a skilled litigator who brings depth of legal insight and strategic focus to every matter she handles. Her litigation practice is complemented by her work as a Qualified Mediator (Q.Med), having completed her formal mediation training with the ADR Institute of Canada (ADRIC) and the ADR Institute of Alberta (ADRIA). She is well versed in alternative dispute resolution forums, including settlement meetings, negotiations, judicial dispute resolutions, and mediations. Known for being both empathetic and insightful, she combines compassion with clarity to ensure discussions are productive and results-driven. Clients value Kimberley for her litigation experience and knowledge, her strategic approach to her files, and as someone they genuinely enjoy working with.

Outside of work, Kimberley enjoys chasing her family down the ski hill, cycling, walking the family dog, and knocking the ball around on the golf course.
