Terry is a Partner in Parlee McLaws’ Calgary office. He practises in the areas of administrative law, aviation law, environmental law and commercial litigation, including oil and gas, construction and commercial real estate disputes. He has appeared before all levels of court in Alberta, the Federal Court of Canada, the Coroner’s Court in England and various administrative tribunals.

Terry’s experience includes acting for a First Nation in a one-billion dollar claim arising from the production of oil and gas from aboriginal lands; acting for various commercial air service companies in claims arising from aircraft crashes, maintenance issues and purchase and sale disputes; acting for professional organizations on disciplinary matters and judicial review applications; acting for developers, purchasers and condominium corporations in disputes over the development of condominium projects and the sale of condominium units; acting for owners, vendors, purchasers and lessees in disputes over contaminated land; acting for builders and owners over construction disputes; acting for oil and gas companies in claims arising from royalty, farmout agreements, negligent operation of gas plants and drainage disputes; and acting for a major electricity generating company before the Alberta Energy Utilities Board and the Alberta Surface Rights Board in opposition to an application to construct a sour gas plant.
