Stephanie joined Parlee McLaws as an associate in 2020 following the completion of her articles with the firm. While working as a student-at-law, Stephanie gained experience mainly in general civil litigation, insurance litigation, trademark litigation, restructuring and insolvency litigation, media and defamation law, and labour and employment matters.

With a strong commercial and insurance background, Stephanie brings valuable risk management experience to her practice. Stephanie has represented clients before several levels of Courts and administrative tribunals, including the Residential Tenancy Dispute Resolution Service, Provincial Court of Alberta, the Court of Queen’s Bench of Alberta.

Prior to joining Parlee McLaws, Stephanie worked with a large national insurance company as a commercial underwriter. While attending law school, Stephanie worked as a summer student at a large national pipeline company, where she gained valuable experience with daily contractual deals while immersed in the Canadian energy market. Stephanie also spent a semester during law school studying abroad at the University of Auckland in New Zealand, where she focused her studies on commercial resource management and intellectual property.

In addition to English, Stephanie also completed her bilingual high school diploma in French.
