Peter is an IP lawyer and patent agent in Edmonton. With a graduate degree in engineering, Peter prepares and prosecutes patent applications for mechanical, electronic and computer-implemented inventions  before the Canadian patent office and U.S. patent office. Peter is experienced with prosecuting patent applications under the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) and can assist with coordinating patent applications in foreign countries. Peter can also advise on patent validity and patent infringement issues, and agreements that concern intellectual property rights. The clients served by Peter include inventors in industry and academia in a wide variety of technological fields, including oil and gas extraction and processing, civil and mechanical engineering, construction, manufacturing, agriculture, advanced materials, nanotechnology, and computing.

Peter is a member of the Patent Practice Committee for the Intellectual Property Institute of Canada, which seeks to improve policy and practice before the Canadian Patent Office. He also serves as a member of the Joint Law Society of Alberta / Canadian Bar Association Legislative Review Committee, which reviews and makes recommendations on laws proposed by the Alberta legislature. Peter has also volunteered on the TEC Edmonton TEC Source Advisory Panel.
