Matthew joined Parlee McLaws as a litigation associate in 2019. Prior to this he completed his articles at a top Toronto firm in 2018/2019 and was called to the Bar of Ontario. He was called to the Bar of Alberta in January of 2020.

Matthew maintains a general litigation practice and has experience on a wide range of matters, including commercial disputes, insurance litigation, trusts disputes, and aboriginal law. Matthew has also advised employers and employees on employment matters.

Matthew has advocated for clients before the Alberta Court of Queen’s Bench in both trial and chambers applications. Matthew has previously appeared before Masters and Justices of the Ontario Superior Court.

Matthew graduated from McGill University with an Honours Bachelor of Arts, Political Science, and obtained his Juris Doctor from the University of Toronto. Matthew is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and volunteers with the Civil Claims Duty Counsel program at the Alberta Provincial Court.
