Jillanna joined Parlee McLaws as an Associate in 2015 following the completion of her articles with the firm. She maintains a general litigation practice with an emphasis on commercial litigation, insurance litigation, administrative law, and wills, estates and wealth management.

Jillanna has acted as Second Chair on two extensive trials throughout her articles before the Court of Queen’s Bench. She has developed familiarity with commercial tenant lease contracts, construction contracts, disputes involving the violation of Charter rights and class actions. Her insurance litigation practice includes both insurance defence and subrogation. Jillanna also represents clients in a wide range of regulatory matters including professional misconduct and equine racing tribunals. Further, she has experience drafting wills, personal directives and powers of attorney documents.

During law school, Jillanna was a volunteer with student legal services and law show. She was also elected as a representative for the Law Faculty Council, the Student Appeals Committee, Social Editor for Canons of Construction student newspaper and VP Academic for the Law Students’ Association. Volunteer work throughout the community continues to be important to her, especially for the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada.
