Brynna joined Parlee McLaws LLP as an associate in early 2017, following the completion of her articles and working as an associate at a local boutique litigation firm. Brynna has extensive experience in employment law and medical malpractice law. She also practices in the areas of insurance law and commercial litigation.

Brynna has represented clients in the Provincial Court and the Court of Queen’s Bench of Alberta, as well as in numerous mediations.

While in law school, Brynna worked as a summer student at the University of Calgary’s Legal & Intellectual Property Unit negotiating and drafting intellectual property-related agreements. She also took part in a constitutional clinical class that looked critically at the protections (or lack of protections) offered to farm workers under Alberta’s employment legislation. The findings of this study were recently published as part of a new book entitled, Farm Workers in Western Canada: Injustices and Activism (Eds Shirley A. McDonald and Bob Barnetson).

Before commencing law school, Brynna worked for several years in various positions. She also co-founded a local small business in 2009. As a result, she has personal experience and a solid appreciation of the needs and challenges faced by small businesses.
