Alex joined Parlee McLaws LLP as an associate in 2016, after working as a summer student and completing his articles with the firm. His main area of practice is civil litigation, with an emphasis on employment and labour law and insurance litigation.

Alex has acted for both employers and employees in a variety of employment disputes, including wrongful and constructive dismissal actions, Human Rights Commission complaints, and Canada Labour Code and Employment Standards claims. In addition, Alex has assisted employers in the preparation and vetting of employment agreements and workplace policies, as well as with other labour and privacy related matters.

Alex also has experience with insurance defence, insurance coverage, and subrogated claims, including motor vehicle, fire, and water loss and occupier’s liability.

Alex has advocated on behalf of clients before Alberta and B.C. Provincial Courts and the Alberta Court of Queen’s Bench.
