Adam joined Parlee McLaws as an Associate in 2014, following the completion of his articles with the firm. Adam summered as a student with the firm in 2011. Adam’s primary areas of practice include labour & employment and civil litigation with an emphasis on insurance litigation and commercial litigation. Adam’s experience in these areas includes drafting employment agreements, consulting agreements, confidentiality agreements, termination notices, demand letters, and various workplace policies, as well as litigating wrongful dismissal, human rights, personal injury, property loss, motor vehicle accident, and construction claims, including providing detailed and reliable assessments on issues of liability and quantum of damages.

Adam has advocated for his clients’ interests in the Alberta Court of Queen’s Bench, the Provincial Court of Alberta, the Canadian Human Rights Commission, the Alberta Human Rights Commission, the Social Security Tribunal of Canada, the Alberta Employment Standards Branch, and in Canada Labour Code Arbitrations.

In addition to his courtroom experience, Adam engages in negotiation and alternative dispute resolution to better serve his clients. In law school, Adam represented the University of Alberta at the ABA International Negotiation Competition and the Canadian Labour Arbitration Competition.
