Parlee McLaws LLP is seeking a self-starter with experience as a Marketing & Communications Manager. This role can be located at either of our downtown offices in Edmonton or Calgary.

The successful candidate will love a good challenge where their high creativity and digital savvy sees innovative ideas through to completion while meeting deadlines and managing multiple projects.

Key requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations (PR), or related field
5+ years of experience in marketing, communications, and/or business development, preferably in a professional services environment
Self-driven project manager who works effectively independently or within a team to market and promote our brand
Strong client service and relationship building skills through support of business development, event planning and participation, and communications for our Calgary and Edmonton offices
Effective use of social media and website maintenance to promote the firm and update internal newsfeed
• Planning and participation in events that promote the firm’s services
Willing to travel in Alberta on a frequent basis
Fluency in English – speaking, reading, and writing with proven spelling and grammar skills (additional language skills are an asset)

• Adapts quickly and works effectively with changing priorities in a demanding high-volume work environment
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and meet deadlines with a high degree of personal initiative
• Builds and maintains effective internal and external customer relationships, accompanied by professional and ethical behaviour
