Parlee McLaws LLP is currently accepting applications for a fulltime Litigation Paralegal Supervisor to join our growing team in our Edmonton office. As an experienced Litigation Paralegal Supervisor you possess 10 years of paralegal experience and 5 years of supervisory experience.Your Responsibilities will include:• Ensuring that the litigation support team provides accurate, timely efficient and effective paralegal services to the litigation lawyers • Providing guidance and assistance to litigation support team • Providing training and development to the litigation support team • Managing team performance, to provide coaching, and participate in annual salary review and performance evaluations for the litigation support team. • Manage, troubleshoot and train staff on database including summation Pro, Summation iBlaze & Breeze • Develop, maintain and implement database training manuals and materials including litigation support manuals and department best practices & procedures • Liaise with the IT Department regarding database reviews and options • Perform all aspects of case, matter, calendar and document management as a senior paralegal on a matter team as needed • Liaise with lawyers on large projects and electronic discovery files • Interact with outside entities (e.g., courts, government agencies, expert witnesses, vendors, and other law firms) to gather information or coordinate activities as needed • Coordinate the recruiting, orientation and training of new paralegals and monitor and report on paralegal hours, OT hours, productivity, workloads and resource/coverage availabilityYour Education & Experience:• Post-secondary education from a recognized Paralegal program • Minimum ten (10) years of relative experience, including five (5) years of supervisory experience (An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered) • Experience and/or certification with electronic discovery database programs, including Summation or other similar product • Experience with Worldox would be a definite asset • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office programsTo thrive in this challenging and diverse role you will embrace variety and have excellent communication, problem solving and interpersonal skills, while displaying a desire and ability to build and maintain excellent working relationships.Sound like a good fit?
