If you are a team player, thrive under pressure and have a high attention to detail, this role could be for you.Duties and ResponsibilitiesPrepare a variety of legal documents and correspondence based on written, verbal, and dictated instructionsManage incoming inquiries from prospective clients, including gathering pertinent information, preparing conflict searches, and end preparing engagement letters as requiredComplete accounting related tasks such as preparation of invoices, corresponding with foreign associates regarding invoices, verifying accounts as well as handing trust transactions, cash receipts, retainers, and credit card paymentsCorrespond with legal counsel and foreign associates to provide and request instructions with respect to the patent application processPreparing, drafting, proofreading previously prepared reports, and sending reports to clients regarding the status of PatentsKeep diary system of upcoming deadlinesPrepare expenses for reimbursement for the assigned lawyersWork within a team to attain results for the IP departmentComplete other tasks including office and file managementPosition QualificationsPost-secondary education from a recognized Legal Assistant/Paralegal programPrevious experience as a Legal AssistantUnderstanding of basic accounting principlesIntermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office programsMust speak, read, and write English fluentlyExcellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skillsExhibit attention to detail and is committed to producing accurate and high-quality workAbility to organize, prioritize work and meet deadlines with a high degree of personal initiativeMust be able to handle confidential information in an ethical and professional mannerAbility to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independentlyStrong customer service and relationship building skillsReadily adapt to changing priorities and effectively work in a changing and high-volume work environmentPossess problem solving skills with a proactive mindsetAbility to collaborate within a team as well as achieve results individuallySound like a good fit?
